Bristol Witches Against the Cuts mobilising on a Different Level

In a spooky turn of events Bristols local witch community, thought to number several hundred, appear to be mobilising on a different level against the local and national spending cuts which are decimating local jobs, services and benefits
The stickers (pictured below) which have been spotted all over Bristol feature the slogan ‘Bristol Witches Against the Cuts’ with strange pagan symbols including a goat, sprigs of hawthorn and pairs of scissors.
Witches believe that they can influence the course of events by conducting group rituals using magical symbols and that this power can be used for both good or ill.

A number of the federation are struggling with the effects of the banking bailout which in turn led to the spending cuts.

Material received appears to indicate that the city wide federation voted to take part in a sustained campaign to ‘hex’ or curse Bristols councillors. They hold them responsible for the local spending cuts after several members attended the so called public meeting on February 22nd and left angry after what they see as “brutal policing and cowardly political maneuvering”
It is understood that their first action is due to take place on Saturday 19th March, the date of the next Full Moon. Our contact refused to reveal how or who exactly they are targeting but it is understood that Barbara Janke, council head honcho is amongst those they aim to make ill at ease.

We encourage our sharp eyed readers to keep on the look out for any accidents, fires, electrical problems, slippages or illnesses to see if our mystical mobilisers have any bite behind their bark
